Okkervil River Away Tour

Iron Bloom had the pleasure of consulting (along with LED-Wizard, Mark Kleeback) on the stage design for Okkervil River's 2016 U.S. Tour. Utilizing a combination found fabrics and house-lamps along with autumnal faux-foliage, the goal was to bring the art from Okkervil's gorgeous new record, Away, into the foreground creating a literal frame around the band consistent with the record's mood and themes.

The stage dressing can be seen in the video for their latest single, "Call Yourself Renee" (see above).
